Dody Ruswandi has been working in disaster risk management in Indonesia since 2010. He actively involves in developing disaster response and preparedness policy in the country.He also play main role in establishing the National Policy on mainstreaming disaster risk reduction in Indonesia’s national development plan of 2015-2019 and its Strategic Plan to implement the DRR for next 5 years in the country.He directly involved in several major disaster relief operations for the last 6 years in the country. Currently he is working on developing the Disaster Knowledge Sharing System in partnership with The World Bank to capture and digitally restore the lesson learnt from past disaster relief operation and recovery experiences. He also involve in developing Indonesia Multi-Hazard National Early Warning System , Indonesia National Disaster Response Framework and Indonesia National Disaster Logistic Support System. Since last October 2014, Dody Ruswandi has been in his new higher position in BNPB as Secretary General that will take more responsibilities particularly in disaster risk management policy.
